Documentation
Certificates of Analysis
Where a batch reaches us with an analytical report, we publish its figures on the product page. The numbers shown belong to the specific lot named, not to the product in general.
What appears on a product page
Products with analytical documentation carry a Batch Analysis panel showing:
- Measured purity — the figure recorded for that batch, not a rounded claim
- Batch reference — the lot the figures belong to
- Analysis date and test method
- Endotoxin or microbial counts, and heavy metals results
- Appearance and quantity tested
Products without a report
Not every product has analytical documentation available. Those are shown as documentation pending rather than being given a purity figure. We would rather leave a gap visible than fill it with a number we cannot support.
Solvents such as bacteriostatic water are supplied to their own specification and do not carry a purity panel.
How to read the figures
The analytical method is stated on every batch panel, because it is not the same for every supplier. HPLC-UV separates the components of a sample and measures each by ultraviolet absorbance. UV/Vis spectrophotometry measures absorbance against a reference standard for the same compound. In both cases the purity figure is the proportion of the sample attributable to the target compound. Read the figure together with the method shown beside it.
Endotoxin, where it was tested, is measured by kinetic LAL assay. A result below the detection threshold is reported as less than that threshold rather than as zero.
Microbial counts (TAMC and TYMC) are reported instead of endotoxin on some batches. They give the total aerobic and the total yeast and mould counts recovered from the sample. Only the tests the batch actually carries are shown.
Heavy metals reports whether the panel of elements tested was completed for the batch.
Where the reports come from. Analytical reports are produced by the laboratories used in the supply chain for each batch. Veltis Bio does not operate its own laboratory, and the figures published here are presented as the analysis supplied with the material rather than as testing we commissioned.
Research use only
Analytical documentation is provided for qualified laboratory and scientific research purposes only. All materials are supplied for in-vitro research and analytical testing and are not for human or veterinary use. See our Research Use Only disclaimer for the full terms.
